Creepy Beautiful Illustrations by Fred Banbery

The Water Ghost of Harrowby Hall

Just the name Hitchcock conjures up memories of huddling in the dark with images of bewildered eyes full of fright.

All of the following illustrations were the work of the great Fred Banbery (1913 - 1999). Banbery often included drawings featuring Hitchcock himself. He also illustrated a total of six Paddington picture books although his artwork has never appeared on any of the merchandising products.
This is the cover of Alfred Hitchcock's Haunted Houseful (1963)- nine cool stories about haunted houses and ghosts for boys and girls.
